Hi. My name is Roxy. I am a Great Dane. I just turned 5 on September 26, 2009. I have a big family that loves me very much. My mom and dad are crazy about me. I have 5 siblings, (3 humans, 1 dog and 1 cat). I love hugs, kisses and my duck. I also have a best friend named Stormie, who comes over on Saturdays to play with me. My grandma brings her over and always slides us some extra cookies :)
My mom is sad right now. She has been doing a lot of crying. We went to see my doctor on Friday 10/2/09. I wasn't too happy about going, even though I really like my doctor. They took pictures of my ankle. Mom and him talked for a while. She couldn't seem to stop crying even though I tried to make her stop.
The doctor said I have osteosarcoma (bone cancer). From mom's reaction, that must be really bad. I feel good even though the doctor said I only have a couple of weeks left. I'm not sure what that means. Must have something to do with all the good treats I've been getting. I get cheese two times a day. I'm not sure, but I think mom is hiding something in it, cause I get sleepy after eating the cheese. Dad said we are going to prove the doctor wrong and that I'm going to be here a while longer. My human sister Keisha said that was right, after all some doctor said grandpa wouldn't make it a year and he's still here 11 years later. Mom said she hopes they are right. Me too if it makes her happy.
Dad said mom called to check on me today. He told her I wouldn't go out to potty. I'm thinking, yea right, it's raining, you go pee outside...well, I'm feeling a little sleepy, must be that cheese again, time for a nap. Love to all. Love, Roxy

I love Roxy sooo much shes great and I dont want her to go anywhere. I will miss her greatly but i hope that I want have to deal with that for a long time.

I really love Roxy and even though she's going through a tough time in her life right now, it seems she still has a sense of humor. Hopefully the doctors are wrong and she is as hard headed as your father and will last longer. Love to all - Leigh Ann
